One of the best things about blogging is that you can share things that you like with others and sometimes you may introduce them to something or someone they haven’t come across before.
One of my favourite afternoons out is going to see a Cirque du Soleil performance. This type of show is not for everyone, but I find them awesome and I love the whole spectacle. Illusion, acrobatics, devil sticks, ribbons, trapeze, clowns and fabulous costumes and music.
The music is often overlooked in favour of the impressive visual content but all the music to the shows is original and I think it is fantastic. One of my favourites is Alegria, the title piece from the show.

Agreed. They’re a wonderful act Caroline. Many troops use the name but they’re all putting on the same quality show. Very athletic too.
I had the pleasure of meeting them close-up once when my wife hired them for a corporate function. Saw all of the behind the scenes goings on and met the performers. Fascinating stuff. 😀

Wow! I am so jealous!! I have seen 4 of their shows and loved every one of them. But when I was young (8-9 years old) I wanted to be a gymnast so I love and understand all those acts. How strong and elegant they are and how effortless it all seems. XX wonderful stuff
True, they make it look effortless. But they are very athletic and practice constantly. It is a tribute to their talent that they make it look effortless.
