We all have our problems but sometimes it’s good to stand back think of others and put things into perspective. I don’t do this enough mainly because I get quite distressed watching other people suffer but this week it has been impossible to ignore the plight of our friends in Australia, Brazil and Haiti, a year on from their earthquake.
So today, every time I catch a negative thought trying to penetrate my psyche I’m going to think of these poor people suffering unimaginable conditions their lives turned up-side-down by natural disasters over which they have no control and count my blessings.
If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire, then you got a problem. Everything else is inconvenience. ~Robert Fulghum
