Mirrors of the unseen spirit
Suspended silver
Forever the enemy
Surface reflection
One dimensional
External imperfections
Appearance deceives
Ugly, flawed, distressed
Hidden deep but visible
Beauty lies within
Watch and wait. Focus
Penetrate distasteful husk
Pierce your true self
Inner soul shines through
Spirit moves, escapes the chains
Emerges, released.
Shake and look again
Eyes, full of hope, honesty
Love to give, to share
Beyond the wrapping
The real treasure lies in wait
Discard the fear. Live.
You have a real talent Caroline. Thanks for sharing your poetry.
Thank you very much-I always appreciate your comments. I just love words I think and find it much easier to express myself in the written word. I look forward to reading yours sometime.
Agreed. Writing is a wonderful form of expression. I love the quote from Francis Bacon:
“Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.”
In blogs we have all three! 😉
Great quote and so appropriate. Thank you.
You’re very welcome. Believe it or not, I heard it first in a “Peanuts” cartoon by Charles Schulz. I forget the humor surrounding it but I remember it as being Linus who spoke it, acknowledging in his words that it was Francis Bacon’s who wrote them originally.
They may not be Shakespeare … but then again they might! 😉
Thanks again Caroline.

I love Peanuts-I’m a big Charlie Brown fan. His strip on his “depressed stance” is superb! I’ll find it out tomorrow. It’s twenty past midnight here and I’m just off to sleep. Take care C x
Ah yes. You’re in England are you not? I’m lucky to have caught you. It’s only twenty past seven here in Toronto, Canada.
Thanks for being up late. I’ll catch you any time. For now, get a well deserved rest.

Hi-Thank you and yes I am in England so we are 5 hours ahead of you then. That’s useful to know.
Caroline
The time difference is a strange and wonderful thing. I’m meeting friends from all over the world through blogging. There’s someone here all of the time – somewhere. That makes it very difficult to feel alone.
Thanks for being there.

I have been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
