This is Florence, my jam jar.
She is full of inspiration and
on rainy days when things are looking bleak
or I feel a bit down, or I need motivation
or just when I feel like it
I delve in and pick out one of the tickets
Upon which are written things like;
*
“Depression is not a sign of weakness,
It is a sign that you’ve been trying too hard for too long”
*
Phone a friend today
*
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”
*
Tidy up and clear that clutter
*
“Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon”
*
“It’s not what you have in your life but
who you have in your life that counts”
*
“A friend is one who knows all about you
but likes you anyway”
*
“You can’t change the wind
you can however adjust your sails”
*
“Success is going from failure to failure without
a loss of enthusiasm”
*
“A friend is one who believes in you
when you have ceased to believe in yourself”
*
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.
It’s learning to dance in the rain”
*
Massage your temples
*
I think everyone should have a jam jar so that
on rainy days when things are looking bleak
or you feel a bit down, or you need motivation
or just when you feel like it
you can delve in and pick out one of the tickets.
Interesting. You have some great stress relievers.
I used to have a mason jar I filled with things from days I wanted to remember. I had a pine cone from a hiking trip, an octagonal shaped nickel (which reminded me of my dad who collects coins), a baby tooth that fell out of my horse’s mouth when he was playing with my hair, a ticket to a movie I liked, seeds and other stuff.
When I moved oversees I couldn’t take it with me so I gave it to a friend to look after my memories.
Thank you for your kind comments and great suggestion. I like the idea of a “momento” jar as well that’s lovely. Perhaps I need to start selling jam jars as this seems to be a very popular idea with my friends! Does your friend still have those memories? I do hope so. Cx
i like it
Glad you like it-are you going to have a jam jar of your own? I hope so! If you do, let me know what it’s called.
